FITTING: The most important thing to remember when getting fitted out with your new straps is how well the strap adheres to the shoe will decide how long the strap lasts! PICKING THE RIGHT SPOT!: It is always best to find a spot on the shoe sole with a smooth flat surface. This ensures that water can't get between the adhesive and the shoe. It is also helpful to pick a spot on the sole which looks to wear out last. Finding a good spot like this can result in the strap remaining in great shape for the entire life of the shoe. PREPARATION: After picking the right spot, making sure the spot has been properly cleaned with water and completely dry with a cloth is also key! Once the area is clean, wiping the spot with the preparation sachet provided in the pack will ensure an industrial strength bond on any shoe type. STICKING: Keeping good pressure on the strap once stuck for a few minutes will help activate the bond. Leaving the shoe for 24 hours after its stuck will complete the job and the strap will now be ready to go. TESTING THE STRAP: The best way to test the strap is a voltage reading with an electrical multi-meter. The material which causes grounding in the straps is a pressure sensitive carbon matrix which means that testing with a continuity tester can be tricky. Using a multi-meter and testing voltage differential is a sure-fire way to test grounding, rather than a common method of using continuity tests which test for continuity.
