Description: Scarce early original mounted photograph of a classroom school picture. VIew shows a large classroom with perhaps 50 children , maybe 4th or 5th grade. There are additional students standing in the back and the teacher can be seen in the upper right corner. Back has pencil notation with the name “Myrtle Travis” and what looks like might be Wheeler School”. This photograph came together with my earlier listing for Charliss School so I believe both schools are in St. Louis, Missouri. Photograph measures 4 3/4 x 6 3/4 inches and is mounted on a 8 x 10 inch embossed matte board. The photograph in fair condition with surface wear and a piece missing from lower left corner. There are no further bends, tears, or creases and the image is very sharp with good contrast and clarity. The matte board is in fair condition with a piece missing at the top right, soiling, and edge wear (see scans). Back has no further information.
