Description: Another screed decrying the paganism of the Catholic Church especially under the guidance of the pope by Joshua Stopford, rector of All-Hallows church in York. Two volumes bound together, this has “Pagano Papismus” and “The Ways and Methods of Romes Advancement based on two sermons”. Very early edition as the work was written and published in 1675. In acceptable condition, there is some foxing, and light soiling from handling. Has the front board off. Bookplate inside front of “library of Westminster Theological Seminary Philadephia PA”. Soiling from handling on title page as well as name over title.
