Early E.N. Welch marine lever octagon wall clock

Description: An early octagon marine lever clock. 12" case with a 9" dial which is the largest size made by Welch according to the book. Case is rosewood veneer which is in nearly perfect ! i can only find one tiny chip at one of the seams whick is less than 1/16". Usually these cases are chipped all along the back edge. Looks to be all original except for the glass. At some point, someone decided to overpaint the center of the dial. Movement is signed and is a very strong runner.
