Description: This rare early 19th Century letter folder/portfolio is German and features very fine needlepoint of roses on the front and a bouquet of various colorful flowers on the back. It is monogramed JCC and dated September 14th, 1805 (which may be a birthday). Measures 9" x 14" when closed. The lining has two silk pockets and there are four silk ribbons to tie it together. There is staining throughout the piece and a red mark inside one of the pockets. The backing boards have warped slightly and the piece does not sit flat. Please See All Pictures.
