Description: This is an ORIGINAL 1967 ELEKTRA RECORDS U.S. MONO REPRESS LP PRESSING of the all time classic 1967 self-titled debut LP from the Doors. It is Elektra Record U.S. catalog number EKL-4007, with the RIAA Gold Record Award sunburst blurb on the front cover, probably indicating a repress pressing. Record comes packaged inside the cover in its original 1960s-era Elektra Records stock company inner sleeve. Please see my accompanying back cover image for the track listing and other information. The pressing plant symbol (A) appears in the runout area on both sides, which denotes an Allentown pressing. Parts of the matrix information are legible and other parts are etched too small and lightly to be fully legible - The legible parts are EKL 4007 A (A) on the A-side and EKL 4007 B (A) on the B-side. The best I can do on the illegible parts is to make a good guess at what they might be - The other markings on the A-side appear to possibly be A906 20(Lambda symbol)7 and AR(smudge) 101-617 on the B-side. Condition of record is a low to mid VG+ with a small amount of surface marks, some of which appear prominent but none of which can be felt or will affect play. Condition of cover is VG with some wrinkles, some ring and contact wear including light writing impressions from a previous owner having placed paper on it and written notes on the paper, and a fair amount of wear along the edges and on the corners. Cover has no splits, tears, writing, or stickers. Elektra Records stock company inner sleeve is in pretty nice shape with just a couple of creases, no splits or tears. This mono repress is in somewhat better condition than is usually seen with mono pressings of this LP (usually G or VG) - It wold make a choice addition to any Doors or classic rock record collection! $4.13 SHIPPING via USPS Media Mail.
