It has variegated color due to the depth of color within, with hues of aqua, soft baby blues, cloudy whites, a few beads with icy chatoyancy, along with deeper tones of oceanic blue-greens that beautifully resemble the sea. It’s been to several scenic places and temples in Hawaii with me. ❣️❣️❣️As with all natural stones, there are a few natural imperfections: A faint yellow spot on one bead, about half the beads have hairline fractures (can’t be felt), and one bead has a scratch (can be felt). Price has been heavily discounted with consideration for these imperfections. The color is top quality and the polish blurs them out so it’s hard to see them unless up close. Please also consider the nature of larimar. As a form of pectolite, it naturally has a fibrous structure with bundles of acicular needles. Splinters naturally occur during mining and lapidary work.
