Description: Here you have a wonderful bit of VINTAGE DETROIT LIONS MEMORABILIA! Please...SEE THE SCANS!!! This is The ORIGINAL August 14, 1957 OREGONIAN NEWSPAPER with an article noting that the Detroit Lions had hired GEORGE WILSON as the New Head Coach. It's a fascinating piece that notes that Buddy Parker had quit. Parker is quoted as saying that the 1957 club was "the worst team I've ever seen in training camp." Wilson would of course lead the Lions to their last championship that season. The newspaper is complete. No photos with the Lions article. It's a simple piece; an interesting historical time capsule... This is in nice shape; not mint but fairly gently read and a tough find! This is a great piece FOR THE COLLECTOR! Take it home with you! GOOD LUCK! Please Check Out My Ebay Store for more great memorabilia!!! I am happy to send this to any country. 1st class air postage will be charged… More excellent packaging, and free media mail shipping here in the United States! THANKS! 120311
