During World War II when many consumer goods, including coffee, were rationed, many firms manufactured Kaffe-Erstatning, which is a roasted product, typically made of chicory root, mixed with rye and sugar beet. Coffee substitute can either be used as a full substitute for coffee or mixed with coffee. This is a Mærkat style poster stamp, published by F.E. Bording A/S, in 1943, and is numbered 2003. After 35+ years I decided to retire from being an active Cinderella Stamp dealer. Most of my working inventory plus backup stock was sold at public auction.
