The 1st "Deathlok" was Luther Manning, an American soldier from Detroit who was fatally injured and reanimated into a cyborg. Each "Deathlok" was created for control by a computer program for a specific task by the controlling entity but they each find a way to act on their own to fight all kinds of corporate and political evil!
