That makes this daguerrotype photograph roughly 180 years old. Antiquity on so many levels; someone's ancestor, a glimpse through time of clothing styles, and last-but-not-least, a marvel of early photography. ---Kindly-looking woman, there's a sense of calmness about her photograph. Her hands reveal, though, that she's been a hard worker.
