I think this piece is from the mid-20th century, specifically 1941-1969, and is a great representation of the era. I did some research on the company. It was called Crown Royal Derby and one of the oldest potteries in Stoke-on-Trent England. I couldn't find anything specific about Crown Royal. It was probably backstamped Crown Royal after the company was sold - losing the last name Derby. Crown Royal is listed under the Crown Royal Derby name. A very nice piece.
