This Couroc of Monterey tray features an inlaid design of Independence Hall in Philadelphia, PA. - It was a limited edition, produced in the 1950s for the J.E. Caldwell Co. - J.E. Caldwell Co. is a luxury goods and jewelry store that still exists today in Philly. - The gold signature of the company is on the back. - Couroc trays are made from Black Phenolic Resin and were hand inlaid by master craftsman with shells, coins, wood, and metals and then fused into the resin. - Each tray is different and unique. - Measures 18" long and 12 1/5" wide
