There is almost no text except in the final section but instead presents the mollusks in stunningly beautiful color photographs. A greater number of the shells are commonly found in other parts of the Indian Ocean, but a fair number of shells presented are endemic to Oman. There are some photographs of the coastlines where these shells were found. The text, which is minimal, is in Italian and English. This is a great book of photographs, but the lack of text makes it not a great contribution to what is found in other books about the shells from this area.
