Overall, this knife and case are in Very Good Plus condition. The ring has light scuffs and scratches. It retains its original shape. Both the pommel and guard are securely fastened to the tang. There are light handling marks and scuffs on the two grip panels. All three rivets are securely fastened. The blade is smooth and shiny and has no scratches. There is a "Blackie Collins" signature on the right side of the ricasso. The clip point blade comes to a sharp straight point and the tip is intact. The display box is securely fastened together. There are scattered dings and chips along the edges and corners, mostly on the lid. Both the latches and hinges are functional and have a smooth action. The interior form fit hard foam is in Very Good Plus condition with only a few scuffs. It is securely held in place. The "James Bowie" plaque on the inside of the lid has light scuffs and scratches, but is securely fastened in place. This will be a great addition to your James Bowie, Blackie Collins or bowie knife collection. As with all used items, a light cleaning may be necessary to meet your standards.
