Robin is the latest edition to DC Direct's line of realistically proportioned, Super-Proportioned, Super Heroic 1/6th Scale Figures. He is the First accurately scaled "Teen" styled Figure. As a team, Batman and Robin have commonly been referred to as the Caped Crusaders and the Dynamic Duo. The character's first incarnation, Dick Grayson, debuted in Detective Comics #38 (April 1940). Conceived as a way to attract young readership, Robin garnered overwhelmingly positive critical reception, doubling the sales of the Batman titles. Robin's early adventures included Star Spangled Comics #65–130 (1947–1952), the character's first solo feature. He made regular appearances in Batman-related comic books and other DC Comics publications from 1940 through the early 1980s, until the character set aside the Robin identity and became the independent superhero, Nightwing. The Robin Deluxe Collectors Figure features the Silver Age style portrait and costuming, a "Teen" male figure body with 28 points of articulation and stands at an impressive 12" inches. He is outfitted in his iconic costume including: green short bodysuit, red tunic with 'R' logo, green 'Elf' short boots, yellow cape, interchangeable green gloved hands and black eye mask complete his iconic look. Also included are his batarang / grappling hook with rope accessory and figure stand with nameplate. Of course Batman's Sidekick is lovingly hand painted & finished to exacting standards which DC Direct is known for. He comes packaged in a four color, flap cover, windowed display art box.
