Description: CLA'd Exakta 66 Vertical 6x6 120 Film Rare Medium Format Camera w/ Accessories Trivia: A true collector's rarity from Exakta (Jhagee Dresden), most of the machines (> 3000 pcs and many were already scrapped) unfortunately did not work properly right from the factory - they were taken back to the factories and then partly liquidated due to the risk of losing reputation. Therefore, only a few hundreds of 'surviving' pieces have been preserved (for example, one is in the Technical Museum in Prague, others are typically in the hands of experienced collectors).Cosmetic/Coll. Condition: The camera has overall very good appearance, which is kinda uncommon. The condition is (as usual, by all means) commensurate with its age. It still has the original screw supporting foot. The technician repaired and impregnated the stickers (leathers) and relubed the lens (focusing works somewhat better than the aperture, as is the custom with old Zeiss). A chipped prism in the corner - a typical manufacturing defect for this model, somewhat less obvious here than in other pieces (I've seen several before).Technical status: Shutter 'drier' but functional. The mechanical basis is quite OK considering the age and model. The upper prism was repaired - it is apparently not original but even old and experienced technician did not know for sure / where did it come from. There is no good comparison, it is a rarity. One of the curtains would deserve to be replaced but this would unnecessarily lead to significant cosmetic degradation of the camera (apparently it is no longer possible to effectively remove such old stickers). Film roll chamber seemingly cannot be opened. The optics of the lens are in VG condition without defects, commensurate with their age.Notes: I managed to separately get an original leather case for the camera in adequate condition - see extended photo gallery.
