A rare find for collectors and stuffed animal enthusiasts alike. Made in the United States in 1956, this large 25" long x 14" wide x 7" deep (from back to tip of nose) plush, hard stuffed very shabby American, vintage collectible animal is made of 100% cotton fur, and looks to be completely hand sewn; making it a plush and durable addition to any collection. Black and cream color. I do not know the manufacturer as he bears no makers marks. It is a well loved toy that was given to a little boy on Christmas morning in 1956. It is all original, including the lovely original old plaid Christmas bow collar. He was SO loved he lost a lot of his fur on his nose and in some other spots, too. He can sit on his own and is posable, making this a fabulous Christmas decoration as well as addition to any vintage toy or teddy bear collection. He is in a very good mood and ready to go out to find friendly people, where he can sit on the sofa for years to come and have a good old teddy's life.
