It was written by Sparkie and illustrated by George Hinke, which is annotated on the last page. The corners are soft, but not delaminating. The plastic covering on the hardback cover is peeling a little on the backside, and there is some sticky residue from a label (or something similar) on the front, but that should clean off easy enough.The blank cover sheet (1st page is blank) has a mark on it, and there is a small tear ~ 2” in length in the upper right corner. None of the other pages are damaged, no extraneous markings, folds, creases, tears, etc. The colorful lithographs are wonderful full of color and details. (Can you find the lazy elf in each of the drawings?) This book is sure to bring back wonderful Christmas memories for many people.
