Description: A colorful Chinese bowl from the Republic period but with a reign mark of the Guangxu emperor. The porcelain bowl has been covered with scrolling peony flowers covering the yellow ground. A key fret border encircles the mouth with four panels spaced equidistant below. The panels have a single character each in gilt. The four characters are ten thousand, palace or boundary, unlimited and longevity. The bowl has a raised foot that is unglazed and a glazed base. The base has a six-character stamped iron red reign mark for the Guangxu emperor. It has small chip mark on the very bottom rim. Not noticeable at all
