Description: We are offering EXAMPLES OF GOODNESS, NARRATED FOR THE YOUNG. Translated From The German; J. W. Moore. Philadelphia, PA. 1855. This book is hard-bound in green cloth with gilt and blind stamping on the upper cover, gilt stamping on the spine, and blind stamping on the lower cover. The covers show light scuffing and soiling, edge-wear, and light rubbing to the corners and some chipping to the spine-ends. There is a brown stain to the center of the lower cover. The binding is solid. The contents are bright and generally clean with nice, hand-colored lithograph illustrations, but also with some toning, light scattered foxing, and some faint but persistent damp-stain spots to the bottom of the pages at the center margin. There are some previous owner notations on the front free end-page which state, "My Dear Little Mary Olives Book, Presented By Anty Ortman (Dec. 25th 1856, Lucinda Varner, Dec,. 27, 1903.
