Description: Cherilea Recasts - 6 Elizabethan "Sea Dogs" Renaissance British Adventurers 6 unpainted plastic figures in 6 poses These retired figures were produced by Dorset Toy Soldiers for us in England in the 1990s, using the original Cherilea molds. This lot is comprised of 6 Elizabethans in mint condition. These adventurers, who were referred to as "Sea Dogs" because of their rough and tumble treatment of their Spanish enemies, were led by such famous Captains as Sir Francis Drake and Sir John Hawkins. They wear such fashionable garments as doublets and hose, ruff collars and morion helmets as well as capes and soft caps, and all carry dueling swords! They have never left our warehouse since their were originally acquired direct from the manufacturer. All our Cherilea figures are in superb, never-been-played-with condition, although they do sometimes have "flash," the little bits of plastic which are squeezed out during the casting process from older molds. This flash can be easily removed by the buyer. You will receive one of each pose in this lot.
