This 72" x 72" Quilt is most likely from Maine as MA and NH were added as additional locations. Acquired from a Southern Maine Estate but could not confirm the creator of this piece. Dr. Paul Felt Amherst, NH is written on one panel. Quite easy to find info on the good doctor and narrowed down a date range of creation. 1919 Darmouth Alumni Magazine shows the Doctor Graduating DMS in 1910 and Mentions leaving his practice in Amherst several years ago. 2 jobs between leaving and 1919, which leaves me with an educated guess of 1911-1917ish range for the quilt. Names are quite legible with many multiple surnames on panels. Light stains and a few small rips will exist.
