Description: On offer is a Stunning New Buckingham Palace Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee 2012 Cabinet Tea Cup and Saucer Duo Set. This beautiful and rare set celebrates the Diamond Jubilee of H.M. Queen Elizabeth II and was commissioned by the Royal Collection. This English fine bone china is entirely made by hand in Staffordshire using traditional methods unchanged from 250 years. Each piece is finished in 22 carat gold. In mint new condition with original insert card. Outer box not included. This is from an estate sale where it was kept in a display case and never used. The Royal Coat of Arms shown on the teacup has been specially painted for this occasion. The border decoration is based on the famous Rockingham Service, made between 1830 and 1837 for William IV who as the great patron of English porcelain. It was first used at Queen Victoria’s coronation banquet in 1838. The teacup has a 6 oz. capacity to lip and weighs 9.65 oz (before shipping materials). The cup height is 6cm or 2.25" and the diameter is 10cm or 4". The saucer diameter is 14.5cm or 5.75" with a .75” rise.
