Ernie was a war correspondent during WWII and tells stories of the soldiers from the trenches. Ernie was killed in 1945 by enemy fire in the battle of Okinawa. Included is a small pamphlet that is a reprint from a book club explaining the book. This book is missing its dust jacket and the covers are well worn and soiled and the pages are yellowed.
