Description: Up for sale is a nice example of a very interesting classic zoom lens by Vivitar, the Series 1 35-85mm f/2.8 Auto Variable Focusing VMC in Canon FD mount. As indicated by its "22" serial number, this lens is manufactured by Kino Precisionj/Kiron, considered among the best of the Vivitar family of manufacturers. Part of Vivitar's pro-grade "Series 1" line, this lens has developed a reputation as a cult classic over the years based on its incredible swirly, bubbly "bokeh" (out of focus area) effects. This particular example is in nice vintage condition with light-moderate exterior wear (focus grip is non-original), excellent mechanics, and glass free of scratches/haze/fungus. Unlike most examples of this lens, the aperture blades remain free of oil and fully-functional!
