But organic is my goal of operation! Bocking 14 does not spread by seed as most comfrey does. Consequently it is not invasive! However if you disturb the roots it will spread by root. My advice is, plant it where you want it and don't mess with the roots unless you want it too spread at it's own will! Comfrey has a very deep root system. Consequently it brings up nutrients from far below. It is a very hardy perennial herb plant. USES FOR COMFREY:Some use comfrey for salves and such.It makes excellent garden plant fertilizer! It grows fast.
