Description: Vintage Octagonal Black Lacquer Box mother of pearl & abalone shell inlay This lovely box is 6 3/4" across and 2 1/4" tall. There is one missing bit of inlay--one of the dots on the top. There is wear around the box edges, both inside and outside. There is a slight split between two of the side panels and an extraneous 1/4" strip (which appears to be metal) on the border of the top (see photos). The top has a faint long scratch and slightly uneven patina. The box comes from a smoke-free home. The box is unmarked, but was probably made in Korea.
