Description: Beautiful and rare to find set of 12 antique Victorian period cabinet plates from the 19th century. Spectacular center decoration with raised gold gilding and platinum gilding of birds and flowers on a lapis color background color that looks like a star filled sky. I have seen similar raised decoration like this done by Minton and Sevres. Borders are a pale yellowish cream a fancy gold pattern. The plates measure about 9 inches. No maker listed but the retailer Gilman Collamore was a fancy store in New York City that sold. Union Square address on back was the center for shopping in the city having the Tiffany store and other expensive retailers around the square. Condition is excellent with no chips or cracks.
