Description: For sale is one of the bigger LPs in Beatles collecting. This is an original UK pressing of Please Please Me. It is the Stereo Black and Gold label with the Dick James credits. Side 1 matrix YEX 94 -1. Side 2 matrix YEX 95 - 1. I want to be fully transparent given the cost and rariety of this L.P.. Outter cover is in VG- condition. Front photo has a laminated sheen that was standard on these 60s LPs. Correct right justified location of Angus McBean photo credit. Back cover has a section of the fold over missing along the bottom which has led to seam splitting along the bottom. There is also a previous owners name written in blue pen in the upper right corner. Correct EMITEX inner sleeve in VG condition. The labels present as VG- to VG. All the printed words can be easily read, but 60 years of wear is apparent on close inspection. Vinyl presentation. I would categorize this a VG. There are several surface marks that can be observed, but the vinyl maintains a decent glossy finish and presents well. Vinyl sound. I would rate this as G+. The L.P. plays through with no skips or jumps. But I want it to be understood that there is surface noise during playback. On louder songs it is somewhat drowned out. But on slower ones it can be heard easily. The music itself, in my opinion, is strong and clear, but the background pops and clicks can not be denied when played on my MOFI ultradeck. I do not own a higher end record cleaning machine, so perhaps using one could clear up the surface noise a bit.
