In the variant several departures from the standard game rules will become obvious; representation of American units as battalions instead of regiments, and modifications in the Orders of Battle to conform to the state of affairs on the morning of 16 December 1944 are among the changes. For the most part, however, the board and mechanics of Bulge have been retained intact. The mixture of history and game simulation produces an intriguing blend of fact and fiction, and serves to better illustrate the nature of AH's game and its relation to the actual battle. ...
