As advertised by Bachmann: For a sophisticated shopping experience at the end of the 1800s, shoppers made their way to one of the new department stores. With their multiple floors of merchandise showrooms, the department store was a dream-come-true for product selection and convenience. The Cityscenes line of Spectrum building kits from Bachmann Industries offers two skyscrapers, a hotel, a department store, a variety store, a bank, and a bus station, all richly detailed and accurately modeled. Pictures of these buildings appear on the back of the Spectrum building kit boxes (see photo above). I have two left that I am selling. Features of this kit: Separate textured sidewalks. Easy accessory sprue with optional building details. Molded-in-place corner guides to assist assembly. Custom Microscale sign decals. Parts molded in color, many with textured surfaces. Many detailed, separately-molded window frames. Lock-in window glazing. According to the trade (as of March 2023) all Bachmann Cityscenes buildings have been discontinued for well over two years, with no plans of ever re-running them.
