Description: Arthur Allison American Art Glass Vase Abstract ala Murano 3"h x 4"w: Fine!Interesting abstract organic shaped vase characteristic of this Texan artist in a Murano glass inspired technique. Has a medium cobalt purple body with a diverse array of murrhines and items including blotches applied into the somewhat glowing purple glass; probably the still hot glass was rolled randomly into a tray of the shapes, then melted into the body. Pretty colors. The photos here are lit up in a light box to show the shapes and colors. I'll add some dim-lit photos later today,Matte dime-sized pontil mark. It is about the size of a softball, flattened a bit. Mouth is about 2.5"w, base is about the same size.Signed and numbered: A. Allison.......10552 (underlined) on either side of the pontil mark. c1995, estimated. We've had since c2000. He doesn't date his pieces unless by the number. Hard to research.
