Description: This lovely 9.5” X 7.25” art by Italian Ljuba Stolfa is in a 14” X 11.5” burl wood frame with glass. The art is titled La Marinaretta (The Sailor) and includes a young boy holding his toy sailboat against a snow covered background. This framed art is clean and ready to hang as is; however, I have not removed art and glass from frame. The pictures show there is imperfection of the glass in both the left and right corner of frame. Because of the loveliness of the art you may want to remove and reframe, although the art is ready to hang as is. Art includes a Certificate of Authenticity from the artist taped to the back. The content is in Italian and translated is the following: “I certify that this painting was made by me according to the most ancient Slavic tradition of glass painting. The subject as created by superimposing successive layers of color starting from the foreground to the finish of the background. I therefore guarantee the work is a unique and original example created by me with an oil on glass technique.” Signed Ljuba Stolfa 1983.
