Պոլսում։ Նախնական կրթությունը ստացել է Պերպերյան վարժարանում, ապա ուսումը շարունակել է Կենտրոնական վարժարանում, ավարտել 1899-ին։ 1901-ին «Բազմավեպում» տպագրել է վիպասանուհի Սրբուհի Տյուսաբի մասին մի հետազոտություն, որը լույս է ընծայել նաև առանձին գրքույկով։ Այդ տարիներից աշխատակցել է «Մասիս», «Ծաղիկ», «Բյուզանդիոն» պարբերականներին, գերազանցապես պատմա-բանասիրական հոդվածներով։ Նրա գրիչը առավել բեղմնավոր է դարձել օսմանյան սահմանադրությունից հետո։ 1910-ին լույս է ընծայել ընդարձակ ուսումնասիրություն, նվիրված Ազգային սահմանադրության 50-ամյակին։ Առաջին համաշխարհային պատերազմի շրջանում և նրան հաջորդող տարիներին, մինչև 1922-ը պաշտոնավարել է Եսայան վարժարանում ՝ որպես պատմության ուսուցիչ։ 1922-ին մեկնել է Հունաստան, աշխատել Քորֆուի ամերիկյան որբանոցում, միաժամանակ աշխատակցել է Կ.
