Description: Hey neighbor , Here’s a pair of Antique/Vintage Tractor 🚜 , Farming Plow Bolts used to hold the plow sweeps onto the foot ( or shank ) of a cultivator for plowing the farmer’s row crops . The bolts would go through the holes in the plow (sweep) and the foot of the cultivator with the round edge of the bolt facing in the direction the tractor was traveling with the knock off winged nut on the back side of the foot of the cultivator . The purpose of the winged nuts was to tap with a hammer or large wrench to loosen the nut which would be caked over with dirt from plowing . Without the wings on the nut , it would sometimes be very difficult to loosen and remove . This is a little bit of agricultural history you can add to your collection , things you don’t see much of today .
