A VERY BEAUTIFUL NEW OLD STOCK MINTY DIAL FULLY WORKING ENGLISH 1956 SOLID 9 CARAT GOLD EXTREMELY SOUGHT AFTER AND RARE JW BENSON LADY’S WRIST WATCH AND SOLID GOLD BAND. COMPLETE WITH A JW BENSON BOX AND WARRANTY CERTIFICATE. TIMED AND OILED AND IN WORKING ORDER. CASE: The case to this beautiful rare watch is solid English fully hallmarked 9 CARAT SOLID GOLD. It has a beautifully engraved case back with a presentation inscription dating the watch to 1956. (I love these old inscriptions as they give so much history to the watch) The case is in beautiful original minty condition with a no dings that I can see. I have gently polished the case, and it is shining nicely, as only solid gold can. THE WATCH MEASURES 2.1CMS (21mm) IN DIAMETER excluding the crown and lugs. The inside of the back cover is fully hallmarked for solid gold (Glasgow 1956) DIAL: This lovely collectible watch has a its stunningly beautiful original brilliant MINT white dial. It is fully signed 'JW BENSON LONDON and SWISS MADE. It has NO hairlines that I can see with the eye and is in GORGEOUS condition. It has lovely sharp and crisp APPLIED GOLD Arabic numerals. This beautiful watch has a minty sub second dial as well. The brand new plastic crystal is flush fitting and is in excellent condition. The beautiful gold watch hands are in excellent/minty condition. MOVEMENT: This is a stunningly beautiful near mint Swiss made crown wind 15 jewel movement. This lovely wrist watch has been timed and oiled by my watchmaker, but as always a full service would be recommended for optimum performance. It runs extremely well and winds and sets smoothly. It has the wording 'Swiss made'stamped on it. It keeps great time as tested over a 24 hour period. The crown looks original and is in very good condition. BAND: This superb watch has what seems to be its original expandable solid gold band fitted. The band is also in MINTY condition with lovely sharp edges showing no wear! The band will approximately fit up to a 8 and a 1/4 inches wrist fully expanded. The band is in beautiful and is very wearable. BOX AND RECEIPT: This fantastic minty watch is accompanied by its original signed JW Benson box AND a dated receipt from JW BENSON. Please remember that vintage watches have survived for many decades by being treated well. Vintage watches are not for wearing while doing yard work, working out, or swimming. Vintage watches cannot keep time like their quartz cousins and will need altering on average between +-2 to +-5 mins per day. They are a little more destructible than modern watches. Vintage watches also require periodic service and cleaning. Every couple of years, they would like their 20,000 mile checkup, oil change, and general service. By taking care of your vintage watch, you will have years of great service, and a quality heirloom to pass to another generation.
