Description: A Beautiful Antique Clutch Bag or Evening Bag Dating to the early 20th century. The bag constructed from period polychrome tapestry with a design of repeating floral and geometric designs. Very Arts and Crafts / Liberty in look and feel. The brass closure embossed with flower heads. Short carry chain in patinated brass. Internally the bag has the main pouch with a smaller pleated hold for coins / cosmetics etc...together with a flip out, bevelled mirror. Very charming vintage bag with a great look and from a brilliant period. Note: shot under daylight spectrum lighting with an iphone. Colours appear slightly zingier in images than they are in reality, but it's a fairly close match. Dimensions: Approx 20 cms wide x 21 cms high Condition: A few faults: The stitching attaching the main tapestry fabric to the metal clasp has come away for a few cms. There is a tiny area of bald tapestry. The bevelled mirror with discolouration and deterioration as clearly shown. Light soiling internally but pretty clean.
