Description: For your consideration is an original 1883 edition of "The Song Reader: A Public School Singing Book", Volume 2. Created by Irving Emerson and O.B. Brown. RARE. Might be the only copy left in existance as I can only find records of this book existing, but no actual photos other than my own. Created for public schools about 140 years ago, and a hardcover made of glorified cardboard, it's not hard to imagine the demise of most copies. This one however is in very respectable condition, with a strong original binding, no missing pages, no loose pages, and not even any writing I could find other than a label on the front cover denoting which room this book belonged to over a century ago. Even includes all of the advertisements for the publisher's (Oliver Ditson of Boston) other works. BEAUTIFUL Victorian style designs on the cover with tons of aging and character. 256 pages with all of the songs listed in images 6 and 7. Find another one, let alone one in this condition! More character than anything on the shelf at Barnes and Noble. FREE shipping to the USA and I'm happy to ship internationally at cost. Thanks for looking!
