Description: Really sweet Bohemian Garnet heart with clover or shamrock in the middle. This piece was originally a brooch circa 1880 and has been converted to a pendant. It measures 7/8" across and 3/4" in height. The pendant has nice stones that are a blood red in dark lighting conditons and with any light become more and more vibrant red depending on the amount of light. In very good conditon for age with all stones in place.Metal on this is garnet gold which was either a mixture of metal and gold or gold plating over silver. There is a little scarring from pin removal on back but not much.Victorian jewelry was very frequently symbolic. This was probably a love token to some lady signifying " luck in love".I realized when listing this that the piece had some white " gunk" in between some of the stones. I cleaned it and it looks much better. In pic #5 you can see the piece after I cleaned it up .Also the two tiny bottom garnets at the 'V" look a little lighter under a loop and probably were replaced at one time.Note: This sale is for pendant only.
