Description: Antique Tibetan Wood Carved Yak Milk Container Pot 10 in tall and 6 in round Large hand carved tribal wooden beaker Nepalese milk pot with handle. Early 20th century antique tribal milk pot with incised pattern. This rustic milk pot was hand carved of local hardwood in the middle hills of western Nepal, using very basic tools. Geometric designs adorn the body of the pot. A stylized monkey sits on the side and forms its handle. The pot would have been used to hold milk, yogurt or clarified butter. Iron band missing that would have been around the bottom of this piece. Otherwise for its age in very good condition.
