Mustache Tea Cups were invented in the 1870s and have a half-moon-shaped opening near the ledge of the cup to allow the passage of liquids while serving as a guard to keep mustaches dry. This unique style of cup stopped production between the 1920s and 1930s, as mustaches progressively faded out of fashion. Now, these antique cups are a coveted collector's item! Choose from the following items: - Blue, White, and Gold Floral Embossed Mustache Tea Cup - the coloring in this tea cup transitions from blue on the bottom to purple with embossed gold detailing on the top. This cup has a curved ribbing texture throughout and a painted floral design on one side. Although this cup is not stamped, it is believed to be made in England during the late 1800s. - Edge Malkin & Co "Chang" Patterned Mustache Tea Cup - This beautiful Mustache Tea Cup in the ornate "Chang" design features vivid colors and an Oriental design. This cup was made in Burslem, England in the late 1800s and is stamped "E.M. & Co Chang". - Blue and White Floral Mustache Tea Cup - This beautiful mustache mug is hand-painted and has ribbed texture throughout. Although this cup is not stamped, it is believed to be made in England during the late 1800s/1900s. - Antique Footed Gold Lusterware Floral Tea Cup with Gold Saucer (this cup is not a mustache cup but it is an antique) - The beautiful cup features four tiny feet at the base, gold embossed detailing throughout, and a painted floral design on one side. The accompanying saucer does show signs of gold loss (seen in photos). The cup is stamped "14" and the saucer is stamped "26". They are believed to have been made in Germany during the late 1800s. - Panama Patterned Bowl by Petrus Regout & Co - This beautiful bowl has ornate detailing around the perimeter and a bird in the center with palm trees and flowers. The bottom is stamped "Petrus Regout Panama" and was made in Holland in the late 1800s. - Wedgewood Woodland Blue Dessert Plate - This beautiful collector plate has an intricate woodland scene with a floral design around the perimeter. This plate was made by Enoch Wedgwood in England during the late 1800s. The bottom is stamped "Woodland Enoch Wedgwood Tunstall LTD". - White with Gold Accents Mustache Mug - This mustache mug has a gold trim and was made in Bavaria. Stamp reads "Made in Bavaria" with a Red Lion emblem - which is for Mark Lehmann Arzberg and dates between the late 1800s and early 1900s. This mug does show signs of wear on the gold (please review all photos for details) and would be considered "Very Good Vintage" condition.
