Description: Antique Saint Rita of Cascia Statue 20 1/2 inches tall. Made of a type of heavy plaster. Saint Rita of Cascia was wife, widow and mother. Born Margherita Lotti, was an Italian Augustinian nun venerated as a Saint in the Roman Catholic Church. After Rita's husband died, she joined Augustinian community of religious sisters, where she was known both for practicing mortification fo the flesh and for the efficacy of her prayers.
