Description: Pair of Exceptional French c.1850 Jacob Petit Style Old Paris Porcelain Vases Table LampsBeautiful pair of Old Paris porcelain Two-Handled vases, converted into two-light table lamps.Rococo style Porcelain vases in a beautiful purple, apple green, and dusty pink with a hand painted panels front and back. One panel depicts a couple, the reverse is a glorious bouquet of summer flowers, polychromed.The vases are heavily gilded throughout, embellished with elaborate raised and flat gold decoration and have ornate scroll twin handles. The handles have a curled shape. The vases are set on a green ground square base, also decorated with glorious spray of flowers on both sides -- each base has four curled feet.These are large and impressive items that dates to approximately 1850 and was probably made by Jacob Petit. No J. P. letters are found on the bottom.Each lamp has an adjustable brass neck to accommodate different shade sizes20" (51 cm) inches tall (just porcelain part)13" (33 cm) wide at the widest part of the vases, from handle to handle.NO LAMP Shade !!!
