This beautiful, large painting by renowned artist Andreas Roth measures 28” by 22”, with the original period frame being slightly larger. The painting is dated 1944 on the front near the artist’s signature and on the back in pencil, it’s dated 1943, which was likely when he started. There’s also a large notation on the back in the artists hand which states it’s a depiction of “Mary’s Lake, Glacier Park, Montana”. The painting is in overall nice shape with still-bold colors, but the canvas does have some rippling in it which causes what looks like a crazing effect, but the paint is not cracked, it’s just the rippling in the old canvas.
