Description: 38 caliber original rifle. 6lb 11 oz. No ramrod. H R 1 7 44 etched in barrel, Hand forged barrel, trigger guard, and butt plate (brazed two piece). Crack forward of lock, nose crack/repaired. Tapered and flared (swamped) barrel measures 37 3/16" x .866/.755/.829". 54" overall length, 13 7/8" length of trigger pull, Double set triggers work. New nipple, heavy bore texture in the bore. I have the original, functioning lock but can't list it with the rifle on ebay. Probably built about 1840-1850.
