Description: Antique classic Meissen Blue Onion Rich (trimmed with gold and an orange rust color). There is a chip under the rim of one of the wells shown in several photos. The bottom is marked with a cross with a blue “S” or “5” below and what looks like script writing that either burned off with firing or faded significantly over time- I cannot make it out. I circled it in the photos. This piece seems particularly old, the porcelain is consistent with early 1800s pieces I’ve had before, perhaps earlier. Due to its age, it’s a bit out of my expertise but I’m happy to answer and questions. Aside from the previously noted chip, there is no other damage. There is age expected wear to gold trim. Please note the items I sell are mostly antique or vintage and being so they might show signs of use or age. They are not new unless specifically stated. I try my best to note any significant issues. Minor or typical imperfections consistent for the items age may be a big problem one person, and completely unnoticed to another. Please ask questions if you are unsure or know yourself to be a meticulous collector. I will be happy to answer to the best of my ability. Please view pictures before bidding as I do not accept returns.
