The entire tablecloth is covered with hand made lace work. There are large shaped vignettes containing ladies in classical dress and in between these there are large round vignettes containing ladies with cherubs.In between these vignettes there is elborate Milanese lace florals,vines and leaves.The entire cloth is covered in ornate raised Satin Stitch Embroidery,Cutwork and Reticella lace. The Filet lace edges are scalloped.The tablecloth seems rarely used or perhaps unused.The ecru color is the original patina ,but of course most linens and lace were tea dipped ,dye was rarely used on fine linens or lace.Good hot soaks and powdered detergent will always bring items up lighter or white.This item has some storage marks which will come up once laundered,and the Filet edge has a small area with two seams that were done at the time of creating the cloth. The tablecloth is in very good strong condition, in unused or rarely used condition.
