Description: This is a lovely Old Original Wood Block Print by Esien Keisai. (1790-1848) The Subject is Beauty Under the Cherry Blossoms. The print shows a woman in fine clothing and spiked shoes under a Cherry Blossom Tree. There is a framed picture in block with Japanese characters. This was bought in Japan in 1946 to 1950 time period by Carl Cassidy who was part of the USA Army stationed in Toyko. He collected Japanese art and wood block prints. This is the first print from his collection I will be offering. Label on the back says it was printed 1835 and stamped Genuine M. Nakazawa Tokyo. It was framed in Bangkok see label on back . condition: I tried to show in the photo that there is some creases in the paper. Otherwise in good antique condition Size: print about 14" by 9" with frame 20" by 14"
