Description: ANTIQUE JAPANESE ARTS AND CRAFTS COPPER ENAMELED TRINKET BOX BY ANDO JUBEI The featured item represents a Japanese Arts & Crafts style copper trinket box and cover made by Ando Jubei of Nagoya. The box measures approximately 1 1/4" tall without the lid, 4 5/8" long and 3 1/8" wide. When the cover is on the top, the overall height is about 1 3/4", the length 5" and the width 3 1/4". The box and the cover have riveted corners and hammered like textured surface.The top of the lid is decorated with raised enamelled flower, bud and leaves. The bottom of the box is marked with the Maltese cross stamp of Ando Jubei. The interiors are lined with fabric. The item comes in overall good condition for its age with no major damages found but normal wear like small scuffs, marks and scratches here and there as well as small production flaws and imperfections.
